Coffee of Ivory Coast
COTE D’IVOIRE COFFEE
Ivory coast is famous for its bitter and low-grade Robusta beans. Due to its inexpensive nature, these coffee beans are used in a variety of blends to lower expenses.
Creating a taste for a community of coffee lovers is not an easy task – “Arabusta” or “The Presidential Coffee” is just the way to do it!
To get the best coffee experience, you need to roast the bean in the right way!
“Arabusta” or “The Presidential Coffee” was first grown in 1960 on the request of the First president of Ivory Coast. Arabusta is sweeter and milder than Robusta.
However, only a few farmers grow this bean because of its slow growth. A newly planted tree will almost take two years. Because of its time-consuming growth and old fashioned process in which beans are crushed and dried by hand, Arabusta beans sell for four times more price than Robusta coffee bean.
In short, Ivory coast coffee beans are definitely a must try. If you like your coffee dark with a coarse texture, this coffee is just perfect!
